On behalf of the Energy Efficiency Advisory Panel, the Government of Alberta is inviting municipalities to attend technical sessions on September 14 and 15 to discuss opportunities to enhance energy efficiency in the province. The Energy Efficiency Advisory Panel will use these consultations to make recommendations on energy efficiency and community energy programs that Energy Efficiency Alberta can start to deliver beginning in 2017.
Session 1 on Wednesday, September 14 - 1:00 to 4:00 pm will provide an opportunity for the Energy Efficiency Panel to hear directly from municipalities on actions they are currently undertaking or planning to undertake related to energy efficiency and small-scale renewables. Any municipality interested in providing a short presentation at this session is asked to contact Warren Greeves, Engagement Advisor, Alberta Climate Change Office, at email@example.com.
Session 2 on Thursday, September 15 - 8:30 am to 3:00 pm will focus on identifying and prioritizing any recommended programs that could be delivered by the new agency, and to discuss opportunities and roles for municipalities with the new agency and Government of Alberta that will support the implementation of new programs.
