This event by the Alberta Community and Co-Operative Association is aimed at project proponents looking to develop a renewable energy project this year.
This opportunity comprises of two components. The first is a preliminary assessment and coaching call with Peters Energy Solutions. This assessment will provide you with greater clarity on your project and identify critical pathways of the development process. The second part involves a one-day workshop taking place on March 5th in Cochrane, Alberta. Over the course of the day you and other community projects (peers and colleagues) will connect with subject matter experts to do the hands-on work to advance your project. This one-day event will also feature a broader conversation on project funding and financing strategies, risk-management, community engagement, as well as conversations on growing the community generation sector.
The workshop agenda will be developed to meet the needs identified in the preliminary assessment. This will likely include: Financing solutions and sources of funding; Interconnection process; Strategy development and execution; and Community Benefits Agreements
To participate in the workshop, and to arrange for a coaching call. Please complete the following form by January 29th. Once you have completed the form you will receive a calendar invite for a coaching call to take place during the week of February 3rd and 10th.
If you are unable to attend in person, there are still opportunities to get involved. As a project proponent of a community generation project you can receive a preliminary assessment as well as access the sessions remotely via livestream. There will also be opportunities to connect with subject matter experts on the 5th of March, or on a different date.
