Miistakis Institute
The Miistakis Institute is a not for profit environmental research institute affiliated with Mount Royal University. It is a research institute, a conservation charity, and a social enterprise, playing all three roles as necessary to broker, transfer or mobilize knowledge to resolve complex environmental problems. Miistakis takes knowledge from the realm of academia to the realm of land and resource management. The Institute may scientifically investigate conservation dilemmas, analyze policy implications, develop decision support tools, catalyze community conservation action, or all of the above.
