Winner Selection
A random draw will be conducted at Alberta Municipalities’ offices on or around October 12, 2021 by Alberta Municipalities to select three (3) different entrants (the “Selected Entrants”) from all eligible Contest entries to win the three (3) prizes. One entrant cannot win more than one prize, and if an entrant becomes a Selected Entrant and is then selected again then the second selection will be disqualified, and another entrant will be drawn. The chances of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received throughout the Contest Period. Before being declared a winner, each of the Selected Entrants will be contacted by email address included in the selected entry and will be required to (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question and (b) sign and return Alberta Municipalities’ Declaration and Release form, which: confirms compliance with these Contest Rules, acknowledges acceptance of the prize as awarded, provides a publicity release, and releases Alberta Municipalities from any and all liability in connection with this Contest and Prize; and (c) sign and return any other documentation that Alberta Municipalities may require. At least three (3) attempts will be made over the ten (10) days following the draw to contact the Selected Entrants. If a Selected Entrant cannot be contacted, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, fails to complete and return the Declaration and Release Form and other required documentation within three (3) business days, fails to otherwise promptly respond to Alberta Municipalities’ communications, or cannot accept the prize for any reason, then at Alberta Municipalities’ sole discretion that person will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize and another entrant will be selected by random draw from remaining eligible entries. Alberta Municipalities is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever, including its own negligence or due to computer, telephone or technical problems, of the Selected Entrants to receive notification or for Alberta Municipalities to receive the Selected Entrants’ response.
Publicity
Except where otherwise prohibited by law, participation in the Contest constitutes a winner’s consent to Alberta Municipalities’ use of the winner’s name, hometown and photograph for promotional purposes without further notification, permission, payment or consideration.
