MD of Pincher Creek – Ford Lightning

Municipal District of Pincher Creek

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the MD of Pincher Creek purchased a fully electric Ford Lightning. The MD received a $14,000 rebate through the EVM program to help offset the roughly $79,000 vehicle purchase price.

Town of Blackfalds – Ford Mach-E

Town of Blackfalds

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Blackfalds purchased a fully electric Ford Mach-E. The Town received a $14,000 rebate from the MCCAC as well as a subsidy from Lacombe Ford to assist in the purchase of the vehicle.

Town of Okotoks – Electric Forklift

Town of Okotoks

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Okotoks purchased a new fully electric forklift. The forklift, from Brandt Tractor Ltd, has a 62-kWh battery, hydrostatic power steering, and load capacity of 6,500 lbs.
The Town received a $27,210 rebate to help offset the total purchase price of the unit.

City of Lacombe – John Deere Gator TE’s

City of Lacombe

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities Program (EVM) the City of Lacombe has added two new fully electric John Deer Gator TE’s to their fleet. The City received a $12,605.03 grant through the EVM Program to help cover a portion of the total cost. The new Gators will be used by the Parks Department.

Town of Vermilion – Electric Zamboni

Town of Vermilion

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Vermilion purchased a new fully electric Zamboni Model 450. The Town received a $49,717.50 rebate to help cover a portion of the total purchase price. The new unit will be used in the Vermilion Stadium, the Stadium hosts many major hockey games and figure skating events throughout the winter.

Town of Innisfail – Toyota RAV4 Prime

Town of Innisfail

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Innisfail purchased a new Toyota RAV4 Prime SE plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The PHEV has an expected all electric range of approximately 67 kilometers. When the battery is depleted, and all electric range has been used to vehicle will operate like a standard internal combustion engine vehicle.

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the County of Grande Prairie purchased two new fully electric Caryall golf carts. The new carts will be used at the Pipestone Creek Campground. The County received a $9,617.69 rebate to hep offset the purchase of the two new carts.

Improvement District No.9 – Ford Lightning 

Improvement District No.9

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities (EVM) program, Improvement District now has a new fully electric Ford Lightning truck. The ID received $14,000 through the EVM program, which is funded by the Provincial government, to help cover a portion of the cost. The Lightning will be used at the Lake Louise Sport and Recreation Centre (LLSRC).

As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Hinton purchased a new fully electric Ford E-Transit van. The Town received a $14,000 grant from the MCCAC to help offset the purchase price. The van has approximately a 200-kilometer full electric range.
