FortisAlberta offers community grants that help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Funding is provided to enhance or create a green initiative in your community, some examples of past projects include planting trees and shrubs in park areas, community gardens, install recycle bins, and downtown beautification projects.
Grants
Grants range in value from $1,000 to $5,000. Funding for:
- Community naturalization
- Tree planting
- Energy efficiency projects
- Environmental education program
How to apply
Rolling intake of applications, if you meet the requirements:
- Municipalities and non-profit organizations in FortisAlberta service areas.
- Elementary and junior high schools Fortis Alberta service areas.
