The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre is conducting a needs assessment to improve our understanding of where local governments are focusing their efforts related to climate change, and environmental and social sustainability topics.
In September and October 2022, we surveyed Alberta municipalities to identify priority topics, needs and gaps. Now, we are planning a series of two-hour online workshops to share the survey’s findings—and you are invited.

Help us gain clarity around the survey’s responses. We’ll discuss three priority topics local governments have identified as a focus for the next five years, brainstorm program and service ideas, and explore implementation considerations and barriers.
Our goal is to be able to launch the most appropriate new initiatives to help local governments in Alberta take action on climate change, environmental and social sustainability.
