As part of the MCCAC’s Taking Action to Manage Energy (TAME+) program, the Town of Banff completed an energy efficiency retrofit of the Banff Seniors and Parent Link Centre. The project was completed in October, 2016.

The energy efficiency retrofit project in this building included the installation of 3 high-efficiency condensing furnaces, the removal of electric space heaters (replaced by natural gas heat), and lighting upgrades to LED bulbs and low-energy T8s. Over the life of the measures, this project will result in a greenhouse gas emissions reduction of 530 tonnes of CO2e.
