As part of the MCCAC’s Alberta Municipal Solar Program (AMSP), the City of Leduc installed a 17 kW solar PV system at the new Eco-Station. The project was completed in 2020.

“We’re committed to looking after our environment. By installing solar panels on the facility, we contribute to eco-friendly solutions for keeping unnecessary waste out of the landfill, as well as create a building that is eco-friendly itself. The substantial contributions of the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) for the solar panel array on the facility are helping us realize our environmental goals and priorities set out in Council’s 2019-2022 Strategic Plan.”
