APPROACH
The addition of the ten charging shows the City’s commitment to promoting sustainability and reducing GHG emissions. Residents of the City and visitors now have several new locations where they can charger their EV/PHEVs. While charging, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to explore local amenities, restaurants, and businesses.
St. Albert is located just North-West of Edmonton, and has a population of roughly 65,000 people.
We’re excited to offer our residents and visitors more electric vehicle charging stations throughout St. Albert as we kick off summer 2023. The City of St. Albert would also like to thank the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC), the Government of Alberta and Natural Resources Canada for making these new stations possible through MCCAC’s Electric Vehicle Charging Program. Having these eighteen charging stations come online directly showcases the City of St. Albert’s commitment to electrify local tourism and attract EV drivers from across the region as we also find innovative ways to protect our environment for future generations.
