As part of their commitment to investing in sustainable community infrastructure and reducing their environmental footprint, the Town of Coronation retrofitted their outdoor swimming pool in 2013. The Town updated the heating system of the pool, upgrading their existing 65% efficiency boiler to a 94% efficiency condensing model. New weatherstripping along exterior doors and windows was also installed to minimize airflow and heat loss. As a result of the improvements, the Town will save $1,395 in operating costs, 279 GJ in energy, and 14 tonnes of greenhouse gases per year.
