As part of the MCCAC’s Alberta Municipal Solar Program (AMSP), the Village of Hill Spring installed an 120 kW solar PV system at the Hill Spring Irrigation Pump House.

The project was completed in 2020.

The Village of Hill Spring is very excited for the completion of the 120 kW solar project. The Municipal Climate Change Action Center has been very helpful during the course of this project and without their support this project would not have been possible. Due to the cost of electricity and transmission fees, being able to install solar will greatly reduce electricity costs to Village owned buildings which in turn benefits the local residents and allows tax dollars to be utilized on other priorities in the Village. Thank you to all who helped make this happen!
