  • Town of St. Paul – Olympia Millennium

    As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of St. Paul purchased a new fully electric Olympia Model E ice resurfacer. The Town received a $50,000 rebate from the MCCAC to help cover the roughly $178,500 purchase price.

  • City of Grande Prairie – Zamboni 552 AC

    As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Okotoks purchased a new fully electric Zamboni 552 AC ice resurfacers. The Town received $50,000 through the EVM Program to help offset the $207,015 project cost.

  • Town of Okotoks – Olympia Model E’s

    As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Okotoks purchased two new Olympia Millennium Model E electric ice resurfacers. The Town received $100,000 through the EVM Program to help offset the $333,950.00 project cost.

  • Solar PV Arrays on 15 Calgary Public Schools

    As part of the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre’s Solar for Schools Program, the Calgary School District No. 19 installed a total of 2.51 MW of solar on 15 Calgary Public Schools.

  • Town of Bruderheim – Climate Adaptation and Cross-Cultural Resilience  

    The Town of Bruderheim as part of the Resilient Rurals collaborative partnership completed a project to explore resilient food systems through the lens of food sovereignty and cross-cultural collaboration.

  • Town of Devon – Climate Risk Assessment & Adaptation Plan

    The Town of Devon completed a Climate Risk Assessment & Adaptation Plan to understand future climate impacts on the natural environment, the built environment, the local economy, and the health and wellbeing of residents and visitors.

  • Municipality of Jasper – Feasibility Study

    As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Municipality of Jasper undertook a Feasibility Study to assess the possibility of adding EVs to their fleet, and potential charging locations. The feasibility study was completed by ATCO, and the Town received $5,590 from the Action Centre to help offset a portion of the project…

  • Island Lake Summer Village – Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan  

    Recognizing the need to prepare for climate impacts and enhance climate resilience, the Summer Village of Island Lake and Morrison Hershfield created the SVIL Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plan.

  • Town of Stony Plain – Kia Niro’s

    As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Stony Plain purchased and received a $28,000.00 rebate to help cover the $99,074.00 cost for two new Kia Niro EVs. These are the first fully electric vehicles that the Town will own and operate.

  • Town of Hinton – Feasibility Study

    As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the Town of Hinton undertook a Feasibility Study to assess the possibility of adding EVs to their fleet, and potential charging locations.

  • Town of Vegreville: Aquatic & Fitness Centre – Furnace Upgrade

    As part of the Action Centre’s Recreation Energy Conservation Program, the Town of Vegreville has replaced four outdated furnaces with more energy efficient models and smart thermostats. The new furnaces were installed at the Vegreville Aquatic and Fitness Centre and was commissioned in 2023.

  • Town of St. Paul: Aquatic Centre – HVAC Upgrade

    As part of the Action Centre’s Recreation Energy Conservation Program, the Town of St. Paul added a new air handling unit (AHU) with heat recovery capabilities. The AHU was installed at the St. Paul Aquatic Centre and was commissioned in 2023.
