Many Alberta municipalities are ready to act on climate change, seeing the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create climate resilient communities, diversify local economic opportunities, and plan better.
However, there are many barriers that limit the will to act, the shared knowledge of what will make an impact, and the ability to act.
Alberta Climate Leaders has been created to help you advance the climate and energy solutions your community needs. From practical tools and current research to peer networking, coaching and mentorships, we provide elected officials and municipal staff with the right resources to build a sustainable future for your residents.
The first three components of the program are launching soon.
