As part of the Electric Vehicles for Municipalities program the City of Brooks purchased a new fully electric Zamboni 650 Electric ice resurfacer. The City received a $50,000 rebate from the MCCAC to help cover the roughly $196,130 purchase price.

Recreation Energy Conservation Program
Town of Vegreville
As part of the Action Centre’s Recreation Energy Conservation Program, the Town of Vegreville has replaced four outdated furnaces with more energy efficient models and smart thermostats. The new furnaces were installed at the Vegreville Aquatic and Fitness Centre and was commissioned in 2023.
